Its cheesy and its trite but I have to say this: I LOVE my friends---
exhibit A:
imagine me, Normita, at work, sadly and endlessly typing into an Excel spreadsheet meaningless babble regarding Energy Effficiency hearings--- its 3pm, still 2 hours away which is too far to start day dreaming about what I will be doing afterwards--- RUNNING! so I still can't get my hopes up, my sugar is running low and I am fading in and out of consciousnes, all the while typing... typing.. copies... folder, tabs... typing.. oh oh.. this might end up stream of consciousness.. anyway.... cue the phone ringing... the 202 area code can mean only one thing: LEAH, Leah and her awesomeness... her voice reminds me that there is life out of this wretched central files room... and then she asks me if I, as in me Normita, want something from my favorite ( or one of my favorite places) in the world--- YOGURT WORLD!!! Can you imagine anything more perfect than this at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon which would have otherwise been a plain and simple Tuesday??? my day went from glum and dour to amazing and fantastic and great and... well you get the picture... now tell me whats not to love about Friends like these??? and yes, I use Leah because at this moment, I would give her an island of her own if I had it, but you, all of you=== I love you guys for putting up with my insane zany self and not thinking anything of it, when I skip through theme parks, listen to rap music, run for no reason, for allowing me...well more like TRUSTING me with swords, basketballs, sushi and well walking in general... and for letting me be me... THANK GOODNESS FOR ALL OF YOU!! just imagine that I have a giant furry fluffy red chenille sweater of friendship in my hands and I am knitting you all one!!!! YES!!!!!
What is more fun than getting up at 4:45 am, on the 4th of July to run 9.3 miles? The answer is: not much else!!!! Yesterday I finally got to run my race- it was super exciting, I had been training really hard. Nevertheless I was still apprehensive at the start of the race. I had shot to run the race in an hour and a half but was totally excited as I sprinted in through the finish chute and realized my time was 1:24:22!!!! a 9:02 mile average!!! Yeah thats right b*tches! :) I can't wait for the next one, whose down?
